Here is another traditional event that I love to host: my fifth annual "Buon Natale" Christmas in Italy Supper Club. I always feature some of my family's favourite holiday dishes and dedicate the evening to my mom, because she's back in Italy and I rarely get to see her at Christmas. This gives me a good reason to think about her - grazie Mamma!

Focaccia, of course!

Calamari fritti (panfried calamari) with lemon sauce

Bresaola, Grana e Rucola (cured beef with arugola and parmigiano cheese)

Baccala fritto (panfried fresh cod) 

Burrata with roasted tomatoes and basil

Lenticchie e Salsicce (sicilian lentils with  barese sausage)



Ziti Pasta with Big Sunday Sauce ("Il ragu della domenica")

Mafaldine ai Frutti di Mare (curly fettucine with seafood sauce)



Agnello al Forno  (baked lamb with shallots, white wine, tomatoes)

Insalata (Giovanna's super refreshing salad)


Flourless Ricotta lemon cake, Panettone. 


Bring your own wine and maybe some prosecco, always a good choice to celebrate the holiday season.
