It's a tradition by now. As soon I come back from visiting my hometown in Puglia, I serve family recipes at my first supper club.
This food has a special place in my heart and it's always fun and emotional cook home favourites like Involtini di Melanzane, Angello a Forno, and homemade Cavatelli with my friends in Toronto.

Calamari Fritti (panfried calamari with lemon sauce)
Funghi Gratinati con Rucola (roasted oyster mushroom on arugla)
Fresh Burrata cheese with roasted tomatoes
Involtini di Melanzane (eggplant parmigiana rolls)
Handmade Pappardelle with white fava sauce
Handmade Cavatelli with rapini and anchovies
Agnello al Forno (baked lamb with tomatoes, pecorino, garlic, white wine)
Fagiolini (green beans, cherry tomatoes and salty ricotta)
Flourless ricotta lemon cake with Strawberries
Wine suggestion: Primitivo is the best known red wine from Puglia, it's little sweet and full bodied. We also make some other great wines from the Uva di Troia and Aglianico regions that are dry, full bodied and more complex than Primitivo, but I will let you choose.
It's hard to find white wine from Puglia in Canada even though we are one of the largest producers in Italy. but if you can find it, "Fiano" is one of my favourites.
