Here you will find Greek, French and Spanish influences. In fact, it is said that our diet is one of the best in Europe because of its perfect balance of meat, fish and vegetables, and of course, some of the best extra virgin olive oils in the world.
Puglia still depends heavily on its agricultural roots and is famous for its "cucina povera" - simple, inexpsensive, homegrown food, infinitely diverse, and full of flavour!
