Culinary Tour Reviews

The total experience from travel to sightseeing to accommodations and gatherings were beyond my expectations - it was flexible, professional, safe and friendly. Every day had at least one major WOW factor and we experienced things that would not be possible had we been touring independently. Sunday Dinner with the Massimo family was wonderful! It was FANTASTIC and I will continue to recommend the experience to my friends. Thank you so much for a great, personalized tour of a wonderful piece of Italy. - Karen

Thank you so much for the fabulous week the group had with you at the Masseria and environs. Every day brought adventures, wonderful food and great wine. You did a great job organizing the itinerary and the group. Thank you very much for including me in this unique and generous group of travelers who specialize in food and wine. I had a VERY good time. - Jane

Massimo, thank you for a wonderful week. Your passion for Puglia and cooking comes through in all aspects. Your knowledge of the area coupled with the visits to the olive mill, cheese factory, winery, and so much more, along with the restaurants we ate at and the food we sampled was simply "molto bene and incredibile." - Nina

Barb & I would like to thank you for a truly wonderful week here in Puglia! We saw so much and did so much and ate so much, and it was all “amazing” in every sense of the word...your knowledge of Puglia — it’s food, its customs and the idiosyncracies of everyday life (e.g. Traffic laws are “only a suggestion”) were outstanding. Even moreso, your affection for the area and the people and your enthusiasm were infectious”.  - Peter & Barb

“We didn'’t take a trip to Italy; we experienced Italy through the eyes of someone who has such passion for his country that at the end of the trip, you couldn'’t help but feel the same way...we sampled food prepared in different ways, we drank the local vino, sampled olive oil like it was fine brandy and tried restaurants with amazing views and more outstanding flavours – it was a culinary delight. Massimo was the perfect host – always willing to answer questions, changing the schedule on the fly to allow us the opportunity to see something else or just sit and have another glass of wine. - Bill & Karen

The great food & wine (which were abundant), markets and restaurants, access to the sea and hospitality of the people, particularly the owners and staff of the Masseria Fumarola would have sufficed to make for a great trip. But the key ingredient in our fabulous week in Puglia turned out to be Massimo Bruno himself: warm, engaging, endearing, equal parts chef, teacher, guide, interpreter, natural-born-storyteller and comedian, guru of the dolce vita. This was an experience we hope to repeat and often.” - Bonnie & Steven
